Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg.
- Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Step 2: Make the Filling
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Set aside the softened butter.
Step 3: Roll and Fill
- Roll the dough into a rectangle (about 30 × 40 cm / 12 × 16 in).
- Spread butter evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
Step 4: Shape the Rolls
- Roll the dough tightly from the long side.
- Cut into 9–12 equal rolls.
- Place rolls into a greased baking dish.
- Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
Step 5: Bake
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown.
Step 6: Make the Cream Cheese Glaze
- Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Add milk gradually until glaze is creamy and pourable.
Step 7: Finish
- Spread glaze over warm cinnamon rolls.
- Let it melt into the rolls for extra softness.
