1️⃣ Prepare the dough
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add the egg and warm milk.
- Mix until a rough dough forms.
2️⃣ Knead
- Add the soft butter.
- Knead by hand or mixer for 10–12 minutes until smooth, elastic, and soft.
👉 The dough should be slightly sticky but stretchy.
3️⃣ First rise
- Shape into a ball and place in a lightly greased bowl.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1–1½ hours, until doubled in size.
4️⃣ Shape the buns
- Punch down the dough and divide into 6 equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into a smooth round bun.
- Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
5️⃣ Second rise
- Cover loosely and let rise again for 30–40 minutes until puffy.
6️⃣ Bake
- Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F).
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, until lightly golden on top.
- Cool completely on a wire rack.
